My name is Ivan and I am a Graphic Designer. Design is a part of every aspect in everyone's life and it affects everything. When design is good, we know it, but don't always know why. Well designed things sell better, are easier to use and make us feel good. Bad design diminishes, is disorganized and renders things useless. My wish is to prove value, not just by communicating but also executing good design. As long as I can remember, design has played a large part in my life and has been my passion. Always learning, observing and absorbing new forms of visual communication. Not just for my career, but as a way of life. As the son of an artist and educator, creativity was always encouraged. I was not allowed to have a color-by-numbers set. I was handed large blank sheets of paper and taught to express my own ideas instead. To generate my own thoughts and design, not mindless coloring. After attending Ramapo College and continuing my art education at Pratt, I left school to work in my family's design and typesetting studio. After a dozen great years, it was time to move on.
